It is still early in the Fall #Anime season, but that won't stop me from making some fearless #predictions! I make these predictions without seeing any of them in action, just from what I know about the studio, director, and/or pictures I've seen. It will be interesting to see how many I get right. What will be the most popular? What will be the anime that disappoints? Let's find out! The first prediction is for best animation. And the winner is...
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade works(2014)
This was a pretty easy pick. Knowing Ufotable, it will look amazing. I am not so sure about the quality of the story, but it should look pretty and that is where it counts... Next up, The show everyone will watch and be talking about is...
Log Horizon 2
The first season was popular and it will appeal to a lot of different people. It has some one of the more compelling stories. I am hoping for some more development for the secondary characters, but being good would just be icing on the cake. Next I'll guess the best slice of life. The winner is...
Sora no Method aka Celestial Method
If ufotable wasn't making something like Fate/Stay Night, this might have been my guess for best animation as well. It seems to have the right blend of humor and emotion found in the better slice of life anime. I don't know how good it will be, but it looks good enough to win here. Next I'll choose the most disappointing of the season. And that will be..
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja
A Studio Ghibli production, so it is sure to get attention. I don't think it will live up to its potential. I'm sure the music and backgrounds will be amazing, I just question the character models. One of the most important things for Ghibli is that connection you feel with the characters. I think it will be lacking and it is my pick for most disappointing. Next we will get to the surprise of the season. My choice is...
Kiseijuu sei no Kakuritsu aka Parasyte -the maxim-
Made by Madhouse who is on the short list of best studios. This show... is unique. It looks like something in the vein of last seasons Tokyo Ghoul. I am usually drawn (Ha, pun intended) to anime that have a psychological undertone. After watching as much as I do, I want to be surprised. I hope this lives up to that. Lastly, we have the best and worst of the season. What will I choose? Well... first let's get the bad out of the way...

Denki-Gai no Honya-san aka Denki-Gai
Don't cry. It isn't your fault... or maybe it is a little bit. This looks like a cringe inducing comedy. I think more than a few will come into this expecting Wagnaria and end up with sad face. The characters don't seem particularly compelling and it tries too hard to be tongue-in-cheek I don't see this one being very good and of all my choices, I am the most sure of this one.

Mushishi Zoku Shou 2
My pick for best of season. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I thought the first season was so close to being amazing. I hope they fix the pacing and story issues because the characters and animation all seem top notch. Probably not a popular pick for the best of the season... but hey, it could be worse...*cough* Girl Friend BETA *cough*... much worse.
And that is all of my predictions for the Fall 2014 Anime season. It wasn't easy without watching the first two episodes as I usually would, but I think I have some solid picks. Now I need to start watching and see how wrong I was :) That's it for me. Until next time, thanks for reading.
